Nakiete sells Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs, which are medicines sold directly to a consumer without a prescription from a health care professional. In Tanzania, as in many countries, OTC drugs are pre-selected and pre-defined by a regulatory agency to ensure that they are ingredients that are safe and effective when used without a physician's care.
Prescription Medicine
Nakiete sells prescription drugs, which may be sold only to consumers possessing a valid prescription. Customers will be required to present their prescription to our pharmacists before gaining such medicines. A prescription must be presented also in a time of a refill. All prescriptions must come from licensed medical professionals from a recognized health institution.
Cosmetics
Nakiete sells and distributes licensed cosmetics and beauty products.
Medical Equipment
Nakiete is a distributor of medical equipment, which account for any apparatus, appliance, software, material, or other article—whether used alone or in combination, including the software intended by its manufacturer to be used specifically for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes and necessary for its proper application—intended by the manufacturer to be used for human beings for the purpose of Diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, treatment, or alleviation of a disease, compensation for an injury or handicap; or investigation, replacement, or modification of the anatomy or of a physiological process.
